New Animal Center in Blount County ProposalMarch 8, 2007
Smoky Mountain Animal Care Foundation has presented the Blount County Animal Control Committee with a comprehensive plan for the building of a new Animal Center in Blount County. The presentation was delivered to the Committee on March 8th, and included Preliminary Floor Plans, Construction Estimates, Preliminary Operating Budget and Color Renderings of Animal Center design concepts (right).
SMACF also announced that Allen & Hoshall Engineers and Planners had agreed to provide all Design and Construction Specifications needed to build this facility free of charge. The Presentation that was given to the Committee can be seen here.
At the conclusion of the meeting, SMACF was asked to meet with the Committee again in a few weeks to answer any questions that the Commissioners may have concerning this plan.
